System Manager

Are you passionate about technology and ready to make a big impact? I have an exciting opportunity for a System Manager to lead the digital transformation and support a growing business within the horticultural sector.

What You'll Do:

  • Maintain and develop in-house web-based intranet database & interface and develop functionality as the business needs progress.
  • Implement, maintain and configure a Learning Management System and develop functionality as the business needs progress.
  • Implement, maintain and configure in-house Human Resources platform and develop functionality as the business needs progress.
  • Implement production templates for day-to-day operations
  • Assist on production as assistant buyer/coordinator capacity where required
  • Assist on new business production budgets
  • Develop and maintain Health & Safety and Risk audit capability
  • Develop and maintain Inventory audit capability
  • Build relationships to prioritise work and manage expectations with peers and senior leaders
  • Work with developers to explain end user requirements with an acceptance criteria
  • Steer planning sessions with developers to deliver maximum business value
  • Drive and investigate ideas and improvements where technology could be the solution
  • Put together a technology product delivery plan incorporating user stories from steering group
  • Pull together a steering group of end users for research purposes
  • Design user front-end and back-end capability

This is a varied role that has been created for the business over time to ensure the smooth running of the business to support the wider team. There is a requirement to be on-site five days a week.

What You Bring:

  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel, experience with digital change management, Airtable, and technology reporting.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to make decisive decisions.
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with a focus on delivering results.
  • Proactive Approach: Enthusiastic, driven and self-motivated
