Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality woodland management and forestry contracting services to both new and existing clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Prepare client budgets, generate reports, and oversee work programs and grant applications.
  • Supervise and manage productive forestry operations.
  • Lead the planning and execution of new woodland creation projects.
  • Collaborate with local teams in forestry, business development, forest investment, and harvesting.
  • Manage and expand a diverse client portfolio, ensuring exceptional service and long-term value.
  • Focus on delivering top-tier forest management while enhancing the client experience.

Required/Desirable Experience:

  • Proven experience in forestry or a related field.
  • In-depth understanding of commercial practices and relationship management.
  • Knowledge of upland conifer forest management.
  • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong commercial and client relationship management abilities.
  • Business development experience (preferred).
  • Familiarity with the UK Forester Standard and UKWAS.
  • Knowledge of Forestry Grant Schemes (desirable).
  • Professional membership (e.g., Institute of Chartered Foresters) is a plus.
  • Full UK driving license (required for regional travel).
