MorePeople have visited the Horticultural Trades Association National Plant Show every year since 2000, and of course, exhibiting this year was no exception! Guy, Sarah and Ben attended the first day and on the second day Guy, Sarah and Rae were manning our stand.
On the second day Sarah, our Horticulture & Agriculture Team Manager, had a speaking slot. She hosted another seminar on growing and retaining your team. Some of the key topics included:
What people are looking for.
How to retain staff that isn't just increasing salary.
the importance of good interviews and first impressions.
why exit interviews are so critical.
As always, the seminar was very thought-provoking.
Sarah comments;
"The topics I discussed could be turned into a conference day on their own, so I only managed to give some sound bites and think I left the audience with more to think about than answers!"
Sarah also sits on the committee of the Young People in Horticulture Association (YPHA) who were kindly offered a stand close to ours to promote to new members and meet current members. Exhibiting at Trade Shows is one of the highlights of our annual calendar. We're able to meet clients, candidates we've helped in their careers and start relationships with people we haven't crossed paths with before!
