Junior Buyer - Horticultural

Remote

£25-28k depending on experience

Are you eager to develop your career in the horticultural industry and have a passion for plants? This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team in a full-time, flexible role for a household name. You will be an essential part of the buying team of a leading Garden Centre Group.

You will be responsible for

  • Travelling across the UK and Europe to visit centres, growers, and trade shows.
  • Supporting the buying team by maintaining precise product and range information.
  • Conducting market research to ensure products align with the latest trends.
  • Producing and analysing reports to identify growth opportunities.
  • Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
  • Rolling up your sleeves and getting involved in various tasks as needed.

What you'll need

  • A strong desire to develop within the Garden Centre Industry.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Excel and strong data analysis skills.
  • Strong attention to detail for documentation and data entry in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel frequently (70% of this role will be travelling both domestically and internationally).
  • Ambition to progress and a self-developing attitude.
