About Our Client As one of the leading fresh fruit and veg suppliers to the UK foodservice industry, Reynolds Catering Supplies provides more than 3,000 different types of fresh produce and chilled foods from around the world to businesses across the UK. Reynolds is known for its product quality, reliability, flexibility and exceptional customer service, sourcing seasonal, British produce wherever possible.
About the Job As Head of Quality, you will report to the Technical Director and work very closely with the Procurement Director, managing the flow of goods through the business and ensuring the customers get the correct quality of product. You will make decisions on product quality and ensure your team is at the forefront of quality standards. You will manage the QA team and the QMS, plus take responsibility for the maintenance of all 3rd Party audits and accreditations, building excellent supplier and customer relationships when required.
The Ideal Candidate This is a senior role within the business, so you will have a wealth of experience within a Head of role within a fresh produce business. You will have strong management skills and the ability to lead and coach your team. Have an excellent understanding of food legislation, HACCP, Food labelling, QMS, BRC etc. Having good commercial awareness is a given, as well as the ability to manage projects and drive the quality of the business to the next level. It is important you have a flexible approach to work as this is a 7 day a week operation.
Salary and Benefits This role offers a competitive salary, depending on experience. Benefits include a car allowance, pension and bonus. The role will be located on-site.
