About our Client

We are recruiting for an established business based in the beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside. They are looking for an experienced factory technical manager to join the business and run the factory technical team.

About the Role

As factory technical manager you will manage the factory technical function in accordance with relevant legislation, food safety, BRCGS, customer technical requirements and company policies and procedures, maintain and improve standards.

Lead & Development the Quality Assurance team including recruitment, training, coaching and development.

Ensures that the Company policies and procedures maintain BRCGS AA+ and customer accreditation through an ongoing programme of monitoring (QMS) and review. e.g., HACCP, VACCP, TACCP

Lead investigation and root cause analysis and corrective actions for complaints, customer rejections and in-process quality incidents.

Responsible for ensuring that relevant company policies and procedures reflect the latest legislation and regulations e.g., food hygiene, etc.

Oversee intake of potato and vegetable quality during/post-harvest ensuring that all the necessary monitoring of raw materials, packaging and products are undertaken.

The Ideal Candidate

For this role, you will be ideally educated to an HND / degree level in food-related discipline. With a minimum 3-5 years in a Technical Manager position. Ideally, you will have worked and have experience in the fresh produce/food industry.

Experience of managing a team. HACCP and food safety qualified. Excellent understanding of BRCGS standards version 9.
