Exciting Opportunity for an Experienced Tractor Operator
Location: Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire
Are you an experienced tractor operator seeking a new role in a dynamic and diverse farming environment? Our client is looking for a knowledgeable and motivated individual to join their hardworking team on a busy farm set in the stunning countryside of Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire.
What You will Be Doing:
Operating a Fendt 728 for all combinable crop drilling using a 6m Horsch Avatar.
Handling a variety of machinery for tasks such as de-stoning, cultivation, and fertiliser logistics.
Participating in irrigation work and general tractor operations.
Supporting the planting and harvesting of a wide range of crops.
Contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the farm.
Our Client is Looking For:
Proven experience operating agricultural machinery.
Previous drilling experience is essential.
Experience with potatoes is an advantage, though not required.
A strong eye for detail and the ability to manage tasks independently.
A proactive mindset and the flexibility to work both solo and as part of a team.
Solid communication skills and a valid UK driving licence.
Basic understanding of machinery maintenance.
Additional qualifications (e.g., Telehandler, Forklift, PA1, PA2) are beneficial but not mandatory.
The Role:
Full-time (39 hours/week, Monday-Friday).
Overtime required during peak seasons.
Competitive salary inclusive of 500 hours of overtime. Additional overtime paid hourly, dependent on experience.
