Title: Category Manager
Working Pattern: Hybrid (Significant WFH flexibility)
Site Location: Cambridgeshire

This is an exceptional opportunity for those looking to progress their career in Category Management! Working for a household name brand in the Food Manufacturing sector - this role is fundamental in influencing retailers with category insights.

This role will primarily be responsible for driving engagement with the Category Strategy with the targeted grocery retailers, enabling excellent execution of their brand plans and initiatives.

More about the role:

  • Extensively using continuous data sources to guide and support the commercial team through influencing and developing relationships with retailers to understand their shoppers. Ultimately leading to the right range, distribution, space and promotions being activated in order to maximise the category opportunities.
  • In addition, the role places a category lens on the way their brand ambitions are optimised by providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders through continuous data, shopper and category knowledge. Demonstrating category thought leadership and championing voice of the shopper.

Required experience:

* 2+ years experience in FMCG (Food & Fresh Produce) category management, Sainsburys preferred but not essential
* Experience in leading & influencing retailer category reviews.
* Experience in category-based selling.
* Experience in building collaborative retailer relationships & influencing their decisions.
* Experience in utilising data provider's tools and databases - e.g. Nielsen, Circana, Kantar, SIP.
* Experience in influencing & shaping marketing plans.
* Proven track record of creating strategic change that shapes the thinking and delivery of business results.
