About our Client

Our client is a specialist producer of Pulses, which supplies food processing customers, and they are looking to appoint a Junior Technologist into this new role within the business.

About the Role

In this role as technologist you will report to the Technical Manager, you will do a range of testing on a number of different pulses, you will do germination tests, and weekly calibration checks on lab equipment, and you will be a member of the HACCP team, you will support the lab technologist with customer complaints and rejections, shelf life analysis and you will support the Technical Manager with regards to BRC, completing specifications, score card reviews and communicating with the supply base to ensure all technical information is in place for supplier approval.

The Ideal Candidate

Ideally, you will have previous experience in a QC / QA position, or you could be a recent graduate who has had a placement year in the agriculture/food sector. You will understand food safety requirements, as required for food businesses. You will be well organised, have a good standard of Microsoft Office, and be prepared to work with little supervision.

Minimum Requirements

Must have a full driving licence and car

Salary

Depending on experience and the role is Monday to Friday.
