We're looking for a Technical Manager to join this fresh produce business, playing a pivotal role in ensuring products and suppliers meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and legality.

As a Technical Manager, you'll work within our dynamic technical team, taking ownership of supplier assurance, food safety, and customer relationships. This is a customer-facing role that requires excellent communication, a hands-on approach, and the ability to travel both nationally and internationally.

You'll be responsible for:

• Ensuring suppliers comply with all legal, safety, and quality standards
• Liaising directly with key retail customers on technical matters
• Supporting EPD/NPD projects from inception to completion
• Keeping up to date with new varieties, packaging trends, and market developments
• Visiting growers and suppliers in the UK and abroad
• Managing and maintaining documentation in line with company and customer expectations

Key Skills & Experience:

• Strong background in Technical Management within the fresh produce sector
• Excellent knowledge of food safety and legal requirements (HACCP, BRC, etc.)
• Confident in customer relationship management
• Highly organised with excellent planning skills
• Positive, proactive, and flexible with a hands-on attitude
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively across departments

This role includes UK and international travel to visit growers, attend exhibitions, and meet with customers.
