In this role, you'll lead a dedicated team to ensure efficient crop management, all while benefiting from the calm and beauty of the Isle of Wight.

The Role

In this role, reporting into the Operations Manager, you'll be leading the team in managing crop tasks, with a focus on keeping waste and losses to a minimum. You'll have the freedom to run your team and plan your time, giving you the flexibility to make decisions that work best for you and the crew.

Your role will involve motivating the team, keeping everyone on track with company goals, and providing regular updates. You'll also make sure that industry best practices around Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality are followed. When challenges arise, you'll work with HR to find solutions, especially when it comes to managing performance and absences.

About you

We're looking for someone with experience in managing and motivating teams, ideally in a fruit-growing environment but if you don't have this don't worry. Communication is key, and if you can bring fresh energy and help lift team morale, you'll fit right in. You should also have a solid understanding of agricultural practices and technical processes.

Ongoing training provided, with an opportunity to attain supervisory or management certification.
