What you'll be doing

As the Sundries Department Manager, you'll lead a small team to ensure the smooth running of your department, maintaining high standards of customer service, product quality, and a safe, clean environment. You'll also manage stocktakes, recruitment, markdowns, and wastage, while ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standards. As the Department Manager, You'll play a key role in driving the success and growth of a business renowned for its expertise, rich heritage, and unwavering commitment to excellence.

What they'll need from you

To succeed as the Sundries Department Manager, you'll need strong leadership skills, experience in retail management, and a customer-focused approach. Attention to detail in display, along with the ability to identify sales opportunities, will be key to driving growth in your department. While experience in horticulture is desirable, your commercial mindset and ability to effectively manage your team will be the most important qualities they're looking for.
