Are you an established Production or Operations manager with experience in the food industry?

The business is undergoing a lot of growth and change so are looking for talent at a senior level, as the Production Manager, you will be running the day-to-day operations on-site. Ultimately this is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for ensuring your junior management team is actively maintaining and improving upon the output of the individuals in their team.

You will work closely with the company's Head of Operations Manager to help handle any issues within the business as well as tackling the strategic growth they have planned. You will also need to look at OEE and have a general understanding of Lean Manufacturing to take a hands-on approach to improving efficiencies. The company are big on Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence, so if this is something you are passionate about and have some tangible experience in this field, it could be a perfect match.

You will also work incredibly closely with a very impressive Site Director, who holds a wealth of experience where you will no doubt learn a lot.

The Role

Managing production at the site in it's entirety, overseeing training and allocation of budget. Be a driving force for change in not only your reports productivity but also motivation and mindset in leading by example and having the difficult conversations. The business has worked hard over the years to drive a culture that they can be proud of, so doing this with empathy, but clear vision is paramount.

About You

You will have a proven track record developing the skills and management capabilities of your team as well as managing projects in a Food Manufacturing or Fresh Produce environment
An experienced people manager within a fast-paced, high-volume setting
Experience managing budgets as well as technical, engineering, planning, health & safety and operations
A background in continuous improvement
