We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement of our plant and equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and operational efficiency. You will play a crucial role in supporting the packhouse and glasshouse by ensuring that all machinery and equipment are functioning safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs on all types of plant and equipment in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
- Assist in the development and implementation of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules.
- Execute PPM schedules and planned work orders as required.
- Operate maintenance equipment such as Fork Lift Trucks and Elevated Working Platforms.
- Collaborate with visiting specialist engineers when necessary.
- Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults, and concerns to the Packhouse Manager.
- Plan and prioritise workload to support production and ensure efficient use of time.
- Respond to maintenance requests, diagnose faults, and repair equipment to ensure it is returned to operational service swiftly.
- Assist with the moving, installation, and repositioning of machines and equipment.
- Ensure adequate spare parts are maintained in line with set stock levels.
- Manage contractor control for all engineering tasks.
- Complete all necessary engineering risk assessments.
Requirements:
- 18th Edition in Electrical or equivalent
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Well-organised with a professional approach.
- Ability to deliver tasks within agreed timescales.
