Hours: Full-time, including alternate weekends

About our client:
Our client is more than just a garden centre - they're a destination for families looking to enjoy a day out. With a thriving animal area, popular playbarn, and vibrant outdoor play area, they are at the heart of the local community. And they're just getting started! With exciting expansion plans on the horizon, we're looking for a Leisure Manager to take the lead and help us grow.

The Role:
As our Leisure Manager, you will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of:

  • Animal Area: Ensuring the animals are well-cared for, guests are delighted, and health and safety standards are maintained.
  • Playbarn: Creating a safe, fun, and engaging indoor play experience that keeps families coming back.
  • Outdoor Play Area: Managing and enhancing the outdoor play facilities for year-round enjoyment.

You'll also play a key role in shaping the future of the site as they expand, with the opportunity to contribute to the design, management, and success of new leisure attractions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Oversee the care and welfare of animals in our animal area.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and cleanliness across all leisure areas.
  • Collaborate with senior management to plan and execute expansion projects.
  • Develop and implement engaging activities, events, and promotions to attract visitors.
  • Manage budgets, staff rotas, and stock for the leisure facilities.
  • Monitor visitor feedback and continuously improve our offerings.

About You:
We're looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience in leisure, hospitality, or visitor attraction management.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • A passion for animals and experience in their care (preferred but not essential).
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • A proactive, solution-focused mindset with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
