Are you an engineer from the food or liquid manufacturing industry, or do you have an industrial/mechanical background, are you looking to step away from tools and transition into an office-based leadership role? This newly created position, driven by business growth, offers the chance to work closely with the Service & Support Manager to help run the maintenance department and manage a team of Service & Support Coordinators. We're looking for a candidate with strong team management skills and prior experience leading teams, who is ready to support and guide a growing department.

Main Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Service & Support Manager to ensure smooth and efficient management of the maintenance department.
  • Lead and support a team of Service & Support Coordinators, drawing on your team management skills to provide mentorship, direction, and hands-on guidance.
  • Develop and implement departmental procedures to drive efficiency, consistency, and high-quality service.
  • Play a key role in shaping the future of the service department by introducing growth-focused strategies and overseeing their execution.
  • Travel to Doncaster once a week to support the on-site team.

Required

  • Background in engineering within food, liquid manufacturing, or industrial/mechanical industries.
  • Proven team management skills and experience leading or supervising teams.
  • Desire to step into a leadership position.
  • Experience as a Lead Service Coordinator or in a similar role overseeing service teams is preferred but not essential.
  • A strong communicator with a "can-do" attitude and proactive problem-solving abilities.

Location

Peterborough, office-based role (travel to Doncaster at least once a week)

Working Hours

Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch break)
