Do you love the smell of fresh soil in the morning? Can you tell your pelargoniums from your penstemons with your eyes closed? Or maybe you're not a plant pro yet, but you've got sharp instincts, a strong work ethic, and an eye for quality. If that sounds like you, we've got just the role…

We're recruiting for a Growing Supervisor to join a thriving horticultural business. With a solid team already in place and a calm, collaborative management style, this is your chance to step into a rewarding role where your voice will be heard, your ideas valued, and your career genuinely nurtured.

You'll work closely with the growing team, help to lead daily operations, keep a watchful eye on quality, and play a vital role in keeping thousands of beautiful plants happy, healthy, and on their way to customers. Whether you're crop walking in the glasshouses or sitting in on a planning call with buying teams, no two days are the same.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting and coordinating the growing team, helping everyone start the day on the right foot

  • Monitoring plant health, spotting any issues early and stepping in with solutions

  • Tracking progress, managing data, and making sure everything's running smoothly

  • Helping guide agency workers and setting the pace for a productive day

  • Getting involved in appraisals, training, and general HR bits - you'll be a key point of contact

  • Keeping an eye on quality - not every plant needs to be show-bench-perfect, but you'll make sure standards stay strong

  • Making tech your friend - this business uses smart systems, so being IT-savvy is a big plus

What We're Looking For

  • Someone organised, approachable, and calm under pressure

  • You don't have to be a growing expert - quality, production or supervisory experience in a similar environment is just as valuable

  • Tech-confident - you'll be using data and systems daily

  • A team player who's not afraid to roll up their sleeves

  • Clear communicator - especially when working with other departments

  • Able to juggle tasks and make smart decisions on the go

Why Join?

This isn't just another greenhouse gig. You'll be joining a business that's self-sufficient, peat-free, sustainably powered, and driven by a genuine passion for plants and people. The culture is calm, supportive and drama-free - they've worked hard to build a great team, and they want someone who fits right in.

You'll have the chance to learn from experienced growers, shape the future of the team, and get stuck into a wide variety of plants (we're talking thousands of varieties!). With plenty of seasonal buzz, development opportunities and support along the way, this is a role where you'll truly grow.

How to apply

If you're ready to take the next step in your horticultural journey-or even pivot into the world of plants from a related field-then we'd love to hear from you.
