Buyer | Fresh Produce
Stuck? Frustrated? Know you're better than this?

How does taking a step up to a role where you can make relationships with suppliers and key contacts your own?

You'll take the lead and have lots of autonomy to go and deliver savings and secure supply from growers and suppliers. You'll be managing a variety of suppliers and categories to deliver raw materials in time to ensure the smooth running of a processing factory.

The business will offer lots of support to see you succeed and build relationships and you'll report to an experienced general manager who can help guide and mentor you, whilst giving you loads of freedom to do what's required.

As this is a fresh produce business, you will need to be able to deal with issues when they occur and problem-solve whilst keeping internal production and commercial teams in the loop. The customers and service are a big priority for the business. You will from time to time need to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into things outside of a typical buyer remit...but show me a fresh produce business where that isn't the case.

You'll build key internal relationships as well as with suppliers. The role will cover multiple sites and you'll want to ensure that the team is meeting customer expectations in other areas.

Building relationships with suppliers, delivering savings, securing the supply of quality raw materials, and planning seasons and crops will all form part of the day job. All whilst having fun along the way and being part of a family-owned business with a supportive team.
