The Role
In the role of Associate Partner, you will lead the delivery of property services with a focus on rural compensation related to both temporary and permanent acquisitions, as well as rural land and property valuations.
This position will allow you to play a pivotal role in shaping our service offering, contributing to strategic decision-making, and providing expert guidance to our valued clients. You'll manage and deliver high-quality technical work, collaborate with land teams and project managers, and actively engage in business development and market promotion. Key activities include attending networking events, creating thought leadership content, and hosting seminars in partnership with colleagues and professional organisations.
As an integral part of the team, you will have the autonomy to manage projects, oversee budgets and programmes, and ensure successful outcomes. You'll also have the chance to mentor junior team members, helping them to achieve their professional goals.
The Successful Candidate
You will be an MRICS accredited and registered valuer with additional experience in the rural sector being highly desirable. Ideally, you will also be CAAV accredited and have a strong understanding of compulsory purchase and compensation.
You will possess an in-depth understanding of relevant legislation, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong technical expertise in rural surveying and property valuation.
You will have a client-focused mindset, enabling you to build strong relationships, identify opportunities, and drive forward new initiatives to grow the business.
You will demonstrate confidence, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, backed by exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to maintain and develop client and internal relationships.
You will have a full UK driving licence.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct valuations of rural land and property.
Negotiate compensation claims.
Develop new business opportunities and build relationships with claimants, landowners, and other stakeholders.
Contribute to internal process improvements, focusing on efficiency and best practice.
Ensure compliance with policies and legal requirements.
Manage and support team members, offering mentorship and guidance for professional growth.
Take an active role in delivering market insights and thought leadership through publications and events.
