Area Sales Manager
South West England
Join a dynamic team and take charge of a key regional territory, driving growth and making a significant impact on the garden centre trade. You'll have the opportunity to work for a market leader with a diverse range of products, from garden sundries to pet products and seasonal items. Enjoy a role that offers both autonomy and collaboration, with the support of a dedicated team.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing and maintaining a portfolio of key customer accounts.
- Maximising return on investment with all accounts, focusing on both revenue and margin.
- Building close working relationships with your customer base to grow existing and new product ranges and drive higher sales volumes.
- Collaborating with the existing team to increase sales and margin, and identifying additional growth opportunities through best practices.
- Identifying new products or areas for growth within each account.
- Analysing competitor activity and providing feedback on product and commercial information to the NPD team.
- Ensuring appropriate merchandising is provided for relevant customers to optimize sales.
- Maintaining strong connections with head office personnel, particularly in sales, NPD, and supply chain teams, to ensure smooth and accurate information flow.
- Attending customer meetings both internally and externally.
What you'll need:
- Strong sales and presentation skills.
- Reliable and accurate communication abilities.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Numeracy and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Flexibility and a self-starter attitude.
