The Challenge
Fresca is the largest privately-owned supplier of fruit and vegetables in the UK. The business is comprised of multiple sites across the UK spanning from Herefordshire to Lincolnshire, to their HQ in Kent. We were approached with two very specific and niche roles; the Group Compliance Director is a leading figure in Human Rights within Food/Fresh Produce and so wanted to look at developing his team within this area. There is a big focus on sustainability across the group, so a hands-on practical Sustainability Manager and Human Rights Graduate was required to improve sites within the company.
The Approach
With roles being very specific in an area of the industry that is not particularly developed, not only did we utilise our long-standing network, but we proactively searched for individuals with specific skill sets. We wanted to ensure we understood what the potential candidates had done previously and what was going to be of interest to ensure the role within the Agri Food Supply Chain was right for them to allow us to then go forward with a successful placement.
