Junior Grower

Norfolk

Been working in Horticulture or recently qualified and looking to start a career in growing?

Want to find a business where you can build a career?

This business does this. They can put you through your sprays or licences needed. With 2 glasshouses and plans to develop the business further, this could be the start of a great career with them.

What will I be doing?

Reporting to, and working closely with the Head Grower, you will be hands-on supporting in all aspects of protected salad growing.

Working with tomatoes and cucumbers, you'll be looking after IPM strategies, fertilising, and irrigation.

As well as this, you will be actively involved in crop walks and support on any projects ongoing.

This is a training role, so you'll get the chance to learn all aspects of growing, working with two incredibly knowledgeable people.

What do I need?

There is training for the right person, but we're looking for someone with a qualification in horticulture and a basic understanding of how a commercial, large-scale nursery works.

You'll have an interest in edible production and have a real enthusiasm to learn and develop.

The glasshouse isn't accessible by public transport, so you'll have your driving licence.

Who for?

With a focus on environment and sustainability, they grow using hydroponic methods. This site in Norfolk is a unique globally for their renewable heating set up, too.

They're success comes from supplying large supermarket chains, and with them growing in glass it's always busy!
