We are pleased to bring to the market an opportunity for a dedicated RICS-qualified surveyor to join our clients well-regarded Rural and Agricultural department. The ideal candidate will have passed their APC in the last couple of years. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to provide professional advice and services within the rural and agricultural property sector, focusing on valuation, land sales, utilities, grant schemes, and land use matters.

The successful candidate will undertake a variety of key responsibilities, including conducting valuations of rural properties, estates, and agricultural land, as well as assisting in the sale and marketing of rural property and offer expert advice on tenancy agreements, succession planning, and diversification opportunities. Additionally, the role will involve the management of rural properties, conducting rent reviews, negotiating leases and licenses, and advising landowners on compulsory purchase projects related to utility work.

As part of our client's team, you will collaborate closely with their Planning Department to navigate rural planning matters, providing guidance on potential development, change of use, and new agricultural buildings. You will also be involved in handling rural grant applications, including CSS, SFI, and emerging Natural Capital Schemes like BNG.

To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of rural and agricultural property matters, complemented by excellent verbal and written communication skills that allow for clear explanations of complex issues. Additionally, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in relevant software, and a commitment to ongoing professional development are essential.

If you have a proactive mindset, exceptional time management and organisational skills, and the innate ability to build successful relationships with clients and colleagues, we encourage you to apply.
